I had only heard occasional comments about there having been a woman that was Pope. This book does a great job of telling the story. It’s absolutely a page turner, and Joan was an amazing character — strong, smart, witty, independent — everything we should encourage our girls today to aspire to be. A very well-told story that I couldn’t put down, a great book.
