{"id":2850,"date":"2014-09-20T10:04:28","date_gmt":"2014-09-20T10:04:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staffpicks.eglibrary.org\/?p=2850"},"modified":"2015-03-30T22:28:17","modified_gmt":"2015-03-30T22:28:17","slug":"the-iron-trial-book-one-of-the-magisterium-by-holly-black-and-cassandra-clare","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staffpicks.eglibrary.org\/?p=2850","title":{"rendered":"The Iron Trial: Book One of The Magisterium by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2870 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/staffpicks.eglibrary.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/The-Iron-Trial.jpg\" alt=\"The Iron Trial\" width=\"132\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My son and I both love fantasy fiction, and we&#8217;re both suckers for ARCs from beloved authors&#8230; So, when I heard that <a title=\"White Cat by Holly Black\" href=\"http:\/\/librarina.wordpress.com\/2011\/05\/02\/white-cat-by-holly-black\/\" target=\"_blank\">Holly Black<\/a> and <a title=\"City of Bones by Cassandra Clare\" href=\"http:\/\/librarina.wordpress.com\/2009\/03\/20\/city-of-bones-by-cassandra-clare\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cassandra Clare<\/a> were writing a middle-grade fantasy series together, I just knew I had to get my hands on a copy of this ARC. \u00a0(The good news for anyone reading this review is that the book came out September 9th and you can read it without scheming to find an ARC!)<\/p>\n<p>And do you know what was even better than opening a random, unexpected package to find a copy of this ARC?
