There were so many great things about it: the characters, the plot, the overall quirkiness, the fact that the spirit of Richard Gere coaches Bartholomew at various times.\u00a0 There are also quotes from the Dalai Lama used as Bartholomew tries to navigate how to interact with people he encounters.<\/p>\n<p>I highly recommend this book. Matthew Quick is such a great writer.
